On the obverse, framed by the national ornament, there are the year of minting, the denomination, the trademark of the Kazakhstan Mint and the inscription about the metal, sample and weight of the coin.

On the reverse there is a composition of naturalistic and stencil images of swans with a diamond insert with a diameter of 2 mm, in the upper part of the coin there is an inscription " AQQÝ ".

Coins "AQQÝ" are made of silver in denominations of 5,000 and 500 tenge and of nickel silver in denominations of 200 and 100 tenge continue the series "Cult animals – totems of nomads".

The design of the coins in this series is based on a combination of a naturalistic and stencil view of the depicted animal with an allegorical presentation under the "Saka animal style".

The swan is considered as one of the most ancient totems in the representation of the Proto–Turks, personifying the female deity, the mother of the Earth and the ancestor of the people - Umai.
