On the obverse in the central part on an ornamental background is the State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, framed with the inscription "QAZAQSTAN RESPÝBLIKASY ∙ РЕСПУБЛИКА КАЗАХСТАН". In the lower part – the denomination of the coin, the year of minting, an inscription with the designation of the sample and mass of the metal from which the coin is made. In the upper part there is the inscription "M.KENBAEV "ÁŃGIME" (1958)" and the trademark (logo) of the NBK.

The reverse depicts a fragment of the painting "Conversation" by the artist M. Kenbaev. The composition is made up of using color printing technology.

In the design of the coin was used an image of a fragment of the painting "Conversation" by the Honored Artist of the Kazakh SSR, People's Artist of Kazakhstan, teacher and Professor M. Kenbaev. Materials provided by the State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after A. Kasteev.
