The reverse of the coin shows the shape of a human body meditating. The image is surrounded by concentric stylized lotus flowers, symbol of transformation and spiritual enlightenment.

The seven chakras points are represented by beautiful Swarovski inserts.

The obverse of the coin features the seven symbols of Chakras with all around a pattern remembering lotus flowers. All around the obverse, the inscriptions: "REPUBLIQUE DU CAMEROUN" - the country of issue, "2000 FRANCS CFA" - the face value, "AG 999" – the fineness of the Silver and "2021" - the year of issue.

Chakra (cakra in Sanskrit) means “wheel” and refers to energy points in your body. They are thought to be spinning disks of energy that should stay “open” and aligned, as they correspond to bundles of nerves, major organs, and areas of our energetic body that affect our emotional and physical well-being.

Each of these seven main chakras has a corresponding number, name, color, specific area of the spine from the sacrum to the crown of the head, and health focus.

The chakras radiate a specific colour and energy, and each one coincides with a gland in the physical body. Since each chakra relates to specific spiritual, emotional, psychological, and physical aspects of our being, it is believed that their blockage or malfunction can lead to physical, psychological and emotional disorders. The conscious awareness and balancing of these energy centers, on the other hand, is believed to lead to well-being and good health.

Chakras have only recently become more well-known, with the growth in popularity of yoga and New Age philosophies in general.
